Central Govt releases Rs 26.29 cr to KMC for water supply
Kolhapur, Jan 10 (UNI) The Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) has received Rs 26.29 crore from the Central Government under the Urban Infrastructure Development for Small and Medium Scheme (UIDSMS).
The amount is part of the new water supply scheme, having a total expenditure of Rs 58.40 crore, KMC stated in a release here today.
KMC had submitted a proposal of the new water supply scheme amounting to Rs 74.84 crore to the Central Government in 2006.
However, the Government sanctioned only Rs 58.40 crore for the scheme in two phases, and the first instalment has now been released by the Central Government, the release added.
