AP enhances reimbursement of tuition fees for BC students

Hyderabad, Jan 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today decided to enhance the reimbursement of the tuition fee for the backward class students.

The total fees of Rs 26,000 for engineering students (from the present Rs 10,000) Rs 55,000 for medical students (from the present Rs 34,000), Rs 5,000 for PG students (from Rs 2,000 at present) Rs 2,500 or graduation (from Rs 1,000/- as at present) and Rs 1500 for intermediate (Rs 750 as at present) would be reimbursed by the government, an official release said.

Dr Reddy asked the Finance Department to release funds to pay arrears and present bills of rent, electricity charges and water charges in BC Hostels immediately, the release added.
