Pondy police gears up to face TN 'rowdy influx'

Puducherry,Jan 9(UNI)With reports of rowdies from adjoining Tamil Nadu likely to take asylum in the union territory following action against them in the state,the Puducherry Police has geared up to check their entry and movement in the union territory.

Intensified checking of vehicles was conducted today at several parts of Puducherry and in border areas.

Hotels and lodges were raided and the strength of police force at all check posts strengthened, police sources said.

Police are also on the lookout for two local rowdies --Vellai Guna and Nolla Bala.
