Jaya's dinner to Modi; Jamaath to hold demo

Tiruchirapalli, Jan 9: The Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamaath will organise a statewide demonstration on January 11 to condemn AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa's decision to host a dinner for Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Chennai.

Jamaath state secretary Mohammed Munir and treasurer Aboobucker told newspersons here yesterday that hosting a dinner by Jayalalithaa for Modi, would hurt the feelings of muslim community.

The stir was also to protest against Mr Modi's visit to Chennai on January 14, they said adding the Jamaath would hold a two-day 'awakening' conference here on May 10 and 11.
