Building gutted in Kot village of Sirmour

Shimla, Jan 9 (UNI) A devastating fire gutted a private building in remote Kot village of Shilai area in Sirmour district of Himachal Pradesh late last night.

The fire, which broke out late last night, soon engulfed the entire wooden building, reducing it ashes in no time.

Though no loss of life has been reported in the incident, but the loss in the fire was estimated to be in lakhs of rupees. The cause of the fire was yet not known.

The owner of the house, Sunder Singh, a farmer by profession has requested the district administration to provide immediate relief to the family.

A case has been registered and investigations are on to determine the cause of the fire.
