Trains in Mumbai-Howrah route diverted


Mumbai, Jan 8: Six mail trains are diverted from the original route in the Mumbai-Howrah line following derailment of nine bogies of goods train between Darakasa and Bortulia stations in Southern Eastern Central Railway.

The incident occurred at 2250 hours yesterday, when goods train, which was on its way to Guwahati from Gondia, went off track.

According to railway officials, six mail trains have been diverted from their original route via Itarsi-Bina-Katni-Bilaspur.

The diverted trains are 2860-Howrah-Mumbai, 8030-Shalimar- Lokmanya Terminus, 2810-Howrah Mumbai, 2130-Howarh-Pune, 2120-Howrah-Lokmanaya terminus, 2834-Howarah-Ahmedabad.
