Standard gold closes at new high of Rs 11,080 per ten gm

Mumbai, Jan 8: Standard mint gold today ended at a new record high of Rs 11,080 per ten gm with a smart gain of 150 per ten gms from its last close on lack of offloading by stockists coupled with strong advice from global markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said today.

Silver closed firm at Rs 19,915 per kg, rising by Rs 70 per kg, in consonance with the yellow metal, traders added. Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 19,915 (19,845) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 11,080 (10,930) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 11,125 (10,980).
