HC gives police 3 days to produce lawyer's daughter

New Delhi, Jan 8 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today ordered the Delhi police to restore within three days to an advocate his missing daughter.

Hearing the petition by the distraught advocate, a division bench headed by Justices Vikramjit Sen and P K Bhasin asked the Delhi Police to produce the girl by January 11 and also file a status report in the case.

Practising in Delhi High Court, the advocate had moved the Delhi High Court seeking directions to the police to trace his daughter missing since last month. Although the lawyer had filed a Habeas Corpus, his name was withheld on request.

Appearing before the bench, the lawyer submitted that his daughter had not returned since December 7 last. He also claimed to have received a ransom call ten days later.
