14 wounded critically in Kargil road accident

Kargil, Jan 8 (UNI) At least 14 people were injured, a majority of them critically, when a vehicle fell into a deep gorge today, official sources said.

They said a passenger vehicle from village Paskum was on the way to Kargil when it skidded off the road due to heavy snowfall and fell into 200-foot-deep gorge at Andoo.

Rescue teams from different nearby areas were rushed to the spot and injured persons are being evacuated to hospitals, they said adding the condition of majority injured was critical.
