Two day workshop on pharmacolgical evaluation from Jan 12

Gulbarga Jan 7(UNI) A two-day national workshop on''pharmacological evaluation of natural products" will be held from January 11 at Luqman College of pharmacy, the college principal prof. S Sanaullah said here today.

Talking to newsmen, he said the workshop would discuss the challenging techniques in chemical, analytical and pharmacological evalution of natural products like herbal to answer the queries raised by the western countries regarding the herbal medication (ayurved unani) standarzation.

He informed that medical experts from different parts of the country who are specialized in varous branches related to pharmacy and well-known researchers would participate in the workshop.

Neglected wonder drugs like bioflavonoids, methods of pharmocological screening of herbal extracts and applications of spectroscopic technique in herbal drug analysis would be discussed.

He explained that a various herbal plants was being raised at the college premises for research purpose and professors were researching to discover whether the herbal plants have anti-biotic properties.
