Nationwide death-toll due to cold wave stands at 100
New Delhi, Jan 7 (UNI) The cold wave conditions abated in most parts of the northwest India due to a rise in mercury as two-way passenger traffic on the 300-km-long Srinagar-Jammu National Highway resumed today after remaining suspended since January 5.
The nationwide toll stood at 100 with 80 deaths reported this winter in Uttar Pradesh, nine in Gujarat, four each in Bihar and Punjab and two in Himachal Pradesh and one Jammu and Kashmir.
