Constable shot dead his wife and tries to commit suicide

Mysore, Jan 7(UNI) A District Armed Reserve Police Constable shot dead his wife and attempted to commit suicide by shooting himself from the same weapon today.

Police said that Lokesh, who returned from the office after night duty, shot dead his wife Sudha (36) point blank from his stengun and tried to commit suicide by shooting himself.

He was rushed to a private hospital where he is battling for life.

Police said that exact reason for the incident was not yet known, however, family problem might have forced him to take the extreme step.
