Tiruchirapalli, Jan 6: The Tamil Nadu Government Agriculture Graduates Association (TNAGA) has appealed to the State Government to maintain status-quo on the appointment of Director of Seed Certification, promoting the Department staff instead of posting an IAS Officer.
Association State President C Rajendran and Secretary D Manivannan told the press after the State General Council Meeting here yesterday a resolution to this effect was adopted at the meeting.
The meeting wanted only ten per cent of the Assistant Agriculture Officers to be promoted as Deputy Agriculture Officers, besides appointing Agricultural Graduates as Assistant Agriculture Officers in the existing vacancies.
