NCPRC takes note of violence in schools
Hisar, Jan 6 (UNI) The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has taken a serious note of the increasing violence in the schools and have sought comments of experts on these incidents.
'' The recent incidents of shooting in schools are being taken as test cases for analysis. Our researchers and consultants would soon submit a report for future action in this regard,'' Ms Sandhya Bajaj, member of NCPCR said here today.
Ms Bajaj said, '' Parents and teachers are equally responsible for the present trends because they are not devoting the desired time to the children at school or at home. Institutions and homes lack the psychological treatment for the personality development of the children and the stress is being laid only on the syllabi,'' she added.
Ms Bajaj emphasised the need of regular co-ordination between guardians and the teachers. She said the time had come for evolving new psychological methods to deal with the problem of children as the days of corporal punishment were gone.
