Lodhi community members have self-pride

Sagar, MP, Jan 6 (UNI) Bharatiya Janshakti President Uma Bharti today said members of Lodhi community have self-pride and they must acquire wealth and knowledge.

''I am a 'sanyasi' and hence do not belong to a particular community. However, members of Lodhi community can say that I belong to their community,'' said Ms Bharti, while addressing a conference of Lodhi community in Banda here.

She said members of Lodhi community didn't knew how to exercise their franchise or else former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh would not have met his fate. She urged them to learn the trick.

Various other speakers addressed the gathering about the insult meted out to Ms Bharti and Mr Singh in politics and exhorted people to demonstrate unity.

Former Union Minister Prahald Patel also presented his views.
