Haryana scouts bag top honours

Chandigarh, Jan 6 (uni) The Haryana State Bharat Scouts and Guides bagged 17 awards out of total 20 at the National Jamboree held at New Delhi from December 27 to 31.

Disclosing this here today State Chief Commissioner, Mr K K Khandelwal said Haryana contingent participated in the various events and activities. He said that that Haryana Association sponsored second largest contingent of 1809 participants.

Mr Khandelwal said that the artistically built state gates were the centre of attraction and won the first position, the exhibition depicting the history of development of scouting in Haryana was also adjudged the best in the jamboree.

He further disclosed that Haryana contingent was appreciated for its impressive folk dances performance, haryanvi cuisine in food plaza, display of pioneering projects, pageant show and for camp fire during the participation.
