has
elected
Mr
Rajeev
Chandrasekhar
as
President
who
will
assume
office
at
the
conclusion
of
its
80th
Annual
Session.
Mr Chandrasekhar is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jupiter Capital, one of the country's leading venture development, management and investment company, focusing on infrastructure, media and technology ventures of the future. He, the founder of BPL Mobile which came into existence in 1994, is currently a Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) representing Bangalore.
Apart from that he was also the member of the Prime Minister's Council on Trade and Industry during 1999-2003, member of the Advisory Committee in the Ministry of Information Technology (1999-2002), Chairperson of Karnataka government, Infrastructure Task Force during 1999-2002 and the Director of Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd.
Mr Chandrasekhar holds a Master degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago and is a graduate in Advanced Management from Harvard University, Boston.
