One dead, CRPF jawan injured, 3 houses gutted in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 5 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was injured in an accidental fire while one person killed and three houses were gutted in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said.

They said head constable Poshker Singh of 25 Battalion was injured when his service weapon went off accidentally at Bakshi Stadium.

He has been hospitalised.

According to the official sources, the body of one Jagjeet Singh, a resident of Kanispora was recovered at Jetty Khoja Bagh in Baramulla district today.

Two houses were gutted at Panjthran in border town of Karnah last night. No one was, however, injured as the hames were controlled due to timely action by the locals.
