City police arrested 18 and seized CD's worth over Rs 10 lacs

Bangalore, Jan 05 (UNI) In a night-long swoop, the city police have arrested 18 people and seized Compact Discs worth over 10 lakhs rupees for allegedly containing pornographic scenes last night.

In a press release the police said that the city police of the south division have raided 17 shops in different places including in Jayanagar, J P Nagar and Audogodi police station limits and seized over 4984 CD's containing pornographic scenes.

The police also seized three television sets three DVD player during the raid and all the arrested were produced before the magistrate, the release added.
