Anganwadi Supervisors in K'taka to become hi-tech with cell phones
Bangalore, Jan 5 (UNI) Anganawadi Supervisors in Karnataka will become hi-tech with Karnataka government today deciding to provide them with Cell Phones for effective implementation of Bhagyalaxmi scheme in the state.
Advisor to the Governor P K H Tharakan, speaking after launch a Child Tracking web site here, said that the Anganawadi Supervisors would be asked to update the details on the health condition and health care provided to children under the age group of three years in their Anganwadis on daily base.
He said the web site will be kept on providing with the details of the girls from the birth till they reach the age of 18 years.
The Bhagyalaxmi scheme, under which Rs 10,000 would be deposited in Fixed Deposit in the name of a girl child, was introduced by previous coalition government to provide monetary help to girls belonging to BPL families in the state.
