Major fire at Infosys campus put out

Mysore, Jan 4: A major fire swept through a godown of Infosys Campus on the outskirts of the city reducing construction materials into ashes late last night. Fire Brigade sources said that six fire tenders were pressed into service to put out the fire in three hours early this morning. Electrical wires, sanitary works materials besides plastic pipes stored in the godown for the construction of new buildings were gutted in the fire.

The loss was estimated around Rs 40 lakh in the fire incident. No casualities were reported in the incident, they said.
