Inflation increases marginally to 3.5 pc

New Delhi, Jan 4: The Inflation rate for the week ended December 22, 2007, increased to 3.50 per cent as against 3.45 per cent last week.

The annual inflation rate was 5.78 per cent during the corresponding week of the previous year, an official statement said here today. Wholesale price index saw its highs and lows last year with, inflation touching a two-year high of 6.69 percent last January, and October seeing the rate fall to 2.97 percent, which was its lowest since July 2002.
