Court reserves order against 3 accused in Sarojini Ngr Blast case

New Delhi, Jan 4 (UNI) Additional Sessions Judge Babu Lal today reserved order on charges against the three accused facing trial in connection with the Sarojini Nagar blast, which had rocked Delhi two years ago.

Earlier, the special cell of Delhi police had filed a chargesheet against the prime accused Tariq Ahmad Dar, and his two associates Mohammed Hussain and Mohammed Fazili Rajshah for murder, attempt to murder, waging war and for conspiring to commit certain offences against the state.

The police had also filed a supplementary chargesheet in the court on December 22, 2007, in which the police had given a clean chit to the owner of the truck in which explosives used in the blast were said to have been brought to Delhi.

The defence argued before the court that the prosecution had filed a supplementary chargesheet to cover up the discrepency in the original charegesheet. The prosecution argued before the court that the voice sample of the prime accused Tariq Ahmad Dar has matched with the conversation recorded after the blast.

As per the prosecution, Dar was in contact with LeT operative Abu Alkama, Abu Ozefa and Rafiq Zaid.

Court has fixed January 14 as the next date of hearing.
