Panjab University Bhagya Tara Award to GNDU Prof Subodh Kumar

Amritsar, Jan 3 (UNI) Noted chemical scientist, Prof Subodh Kumar of Chemistry Department of Guru Nanak Dev University has been selected for the prestigious 'Panjab University Bhagya Tara Award' for the year 2006.

Prof Subodh Kumar has been selected for this coveted award for his outstanding research contributions in the area of Organic Chemistry and especially for developing molecular photo responsive probes for estimation of metal ions and anions of both biological and environmental significance and development of synthetic methodologies of contemporary and industrial consequence.

The award is given at the National level to the best researcher on the merit of research contribution in Organic Chemistry or applied disciplines like Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Diary Chemistry".
