Kissan Rally taken to mark Tata Steel's Centenary celebrations

Jamshedpur,Jan 3 (UNI) The centenary celebrations of Tata Steel went beyond the steel city here as 400 villagers from neighbouring Seraikela-Kharsawan district took out a Kissan Rally today.

Around 150 women from 16 villages in the Seraikela and Kharsawan block of Seraikela-Kharsawan district lead this rally.

In the 16 villages Tata Steel Rural Development Scociety(TSRDS) in collaboration with Sir Ratan Tata Trust has been undertaking water centric livelihood interventions in participation with the community,the company sources said.

During the course of the rally,the villagers under the overall management of the Village Development Committee gave slogans and prepared placards depicting different activities being undertaken in these villages,the sources added.
