Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh to oppose SEZs

Mumbai, Jan 3 (UNI) The Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) will oppose the Government's plan to set up Special Economic Zones (SEZs) all over the country.

The BMS will take a decision on their next course of action in a meeting to be held later this year at Cuttack.

Speaking to UNI, BMS General Secretary S P Padwal said, ''Majority of the rural India is involved in farming and if the Government will support private companies to forcibly acquire land, we will oppose it tooth and nail.'' Mr Padwal further added that land acquisitions by multi-national companies will put an end to farming in the country.
