Public meetings to celebrate MGR's birth anniversary

Chennai, Jan 2 (UNI) The Opposition All India Anna DMK (AIADMK) today announced week-long public meetings from January 17, as part of the celebrations of the birth anniversary of party founder M G Ramachandran.

AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa, in a statement here, said the public meetings would be held throughout Tamil Nadu, besides Puducherry, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, New Delhi and Andamans, where the AIADMK was functioning.

She also released a list of venues and names of those addressing the public meeting from January 17 to 21. In places where there was no public meeting, partymen should garland the statue of MGR and distribute sweets, she said.
