Jharkhand Governor Razi, CM Koda greet people on New Year

Ranchi, Jan 1 (UNI) Jharkhand Governor Syed Sibtey Razi today urged the people to work for development of the state.

In his new year message, Mr Razi said people and the Government should make joint effort to utilise the resources of this mineral rich state.

Chief Minister Madhu Koda also greeted the people and wished prosperity and progress to them on the occasion.

Prayers were offered in temples and midnight mass were conducted in churches across the state.

A large number of people thronged at Dassam, Hundru and Johna falls to celebrate new year.

Security was beefed up in all the places to avert any untoward incident.
