G K Gandhi condoles death of Dr P C Chunder

Kolkata, Jan 1 (UNI) West Bengal Governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi today condoled the death of academician and former Union Education Minister Dr Pratap Chandra Chunder.

''I am deeply grieved to hear the demise of Dr Pratap Chandra Chunder, one of India's elder statesmen and scholars, whose administrarive skills and range of wisdom gave him a special status in public life,'' Mr Gandhi said.

BJP's State president Sukumar Banerjee has also offered his condolences and said Dr Chunder death was a great loss to the nation.
