Agitators attack DC office

Hubli, Jan 1 (UNI) Agitators demanding reopening of a sugar factory stormed into the Deputy Commissioner's office at Haveri and ransacked the furniture today.

Police said that about hundred labours who assembled in front of the DC office pelted stones and ransacked the tables and chairs this morning.

A case has been registered against 35 people.

However, a handful of labours who are staging dharna in front of DC's Office for the past two months alleged that some miscreants were responsible for the incident.
