3 militants arrested in Jammu and Kashmir

three
militants,
busted
hideouts

recovered

in
the
Kashmir
valley,
a
defence
ministry
spokesman
said.
He said based on specific information, troops of 49 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint operation at Pangat in south Kashmir district of Kulgam yesterday.
During the operation a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant Mohammad Iqbal Dar was arrested and two hand grenades and some rounds of ammunition were recovered from him.
He said in another similar operation, troops of 13 RR and SOG apprehended two militants identified as Abdul and Khurshid Ahmad at Vijaypur in Ganderbal district. Two hand grenades and one magazine were recovered from their possession.
Spokesman said troops unearthed a number of hideouts and recovered war like stores, including assault rifles in the valley overnight.
