Women to get off on Bhaiya Dooj and Rakshabandhan: Dhumal

Shimla, Dec 31 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Dhumal today announced holidays for women government employees on Bhaiya Dooj and Raksha Bandhan after declaring a holiday for women on Karva Chauth during his last tenure.

Besides, holidays on these days, the state government would also provide free traveling facilities to the women of the state on Raksha Bandhan and Bhaiya Dooj, he said while addressing the officers and employees of the state secretariat here.

Mr Dhumal reiterated his governments resolve to work for the women, youth, drown trodden and weaker sections of the society, saying that the common man deserved best attention and would be given to them.

He also sought cooperation of the state government employees for the smooth and efficient functioning of the government and said with their hard work Himachal would emerge as the model state for the rest of the country.
