Sugar prices slip on larger arrival of stocks

Navi Mumbai, Dec 31 (UNI) Wholesale spot sugar prices ended lower by Rs 10 at Rs 1,375 per quintal on larger supply of stocks from co-operative mills in the face of thin demand by sweet makers, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said on the last day of 2007 today.

Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,345/1,375, Medium grade: Rs 1,395/1,485.

Ex-mill Small grade: Rs 1,330/1,360 and Medium grade: Rs 1,380/1,440.
