20 HP Univ students offered Rs 3 lakh salary packages

Shimla, Dec 31 (UNI) Twenty management students of the Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) have been offered jobs with a salary package of Rs three lakh during their third semester, a university spokesman said today.

Nine students Deepu Sandhu, Natasha Rana, Puran Singh, Deepak Prakash, Jatinder Kashyap, Shakun Vij, Sushant Sood, Bhanu Pratap and Atul Wali were offered salaries of Rs 3.60 lakh each in Grail Research Noida, Hughes Gurgaon and OSRAm India Gurgaon, he said in a release here.

The spokesman said three other students Manish Thakur, Aftab Tanwar and Prashant Gupta were offered salaries of Rs 3.21 lakh each by HCL Noida.

Six students Himangi Sgarma, Pratibha Justa, Karan Sharma, Ashwani Jaswal, Shweta Panwar, Vikram Bisht were offered jobs with salary start of Rs three lakh by IDBI Bank Mumbai, he said, adding that two other students Vishal Guleria and Ankur Bhatt were offered Rs 2.90 lakh each.

He said more campus interviews involving several other reputed firms were in the offering in the near future.

The selection of these students in various campus interviews was the culmination of a rigorous effort by the university's management department, he added.
