Bikramganj, Dec 29: Voters at three poll booths in Bikramganj Lok Sabha constituency, which went for bypolls today morning, boycotted the election protesting against Bihar government's failure in providing basic amenities in the area.

The bypolls was being held following the death of JD(U) MP Ajit Singh, who was killed in a road accident at Siwan this year.

Official sources here said the villagers at polling booths in Dewaria village and Abha Pokhar under Dehri police station alleged that the state government had failed to fulfil its agenda mentioned in their election manifestos.

They also alleged that the government had not provided basic amenities like supply of drinking water and electricity.

The administration had reached the spots and trying to convince the villagers.

Meanwhile, the polling at various other booths were being conducted peacefully.
