Six family members burnt alive in Bihar

Gaya, Dec 29 (UNI) At least six members, including three children, of a family were burnt alive while another sustained severe burns when a hut caught fire at Budhgaria village in the Wazirganj police station area in the district late last night, police said here today.

Sources said the fire broke out from a burning lamp at midnight when one Prem Manjhi and his family were fast asleep.

Manjhi's wife and other members of the family died on the spot while he sustained serious burns.

The injured was rushed to Magadh Medical College and Hospital in the city, sources said.

Meanwhile, police reached the spot and the bodies were sent for post-mortems, the sources added.
