Lucky escape for people as bullets come flying

Mysore, Dec 29 (UNI) People moving near a hotel on the Bangalore-Ooty Highway here had a miraculous escape as bullets fired from nearby police firing range narrowly missed them.

People in the vicinity of a hotel and the highway were shocked to find bullets falling into the kitchen and on the highway.

They were fired in the wrong direction by trainee police personnel in the firing range.

Luckily, no vehicle passed on the road during the firing, eyewitness reports said.

Police who rushed to the spot after being alerted by the hotel workers, recovered 11 bullets.

City police commissioner Bhaskar Rao has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
