Cong could not raise Modi govt drawbacks in Guj: Digvijay

Gwalior, Dec 29 (UNI) Congress General Secretary and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh today said that the party's defeat in Gujarat was caused by not being able to raise attention to the drawbacks of the Narendra Modi regime and sheltering BJP rebels under the Congress banner.

''The Congress could not even respond to Mr Modi's propaganda,'' he told mediapersons here while adding that Himachal Pradesh has always had an overriding anti-incumbency factor.

Mr Singh alleged that in Madhya Pradesh every minister, barring a couple, were facing allegations of corruption.

''The ruling BJP will have the elections conducted in May next year,'' he said while adding that the Bahujan Samaj Party would not have any major impact in this state.

Mr Singh described Bharatiya Janashakti Founder-President Uma Bharti as a lady of unstable mentality, and claimed she would eventually re-enter the BJP.
