Russian killed, passengers looted in train in UP

Chitrakoot, Dec 28 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants shot dead a Russian women, grievously injuring another local woman, besides robbing passengers aboard the Varanasi-Mumbai Kamyani Express here this morning.

The incident occurred near Manikpur railway station, where masked men barged into the AC-2 coach.

The deceased was identified as Limoya Hidoja (47).

When passengers resisted the robbery, the burglars opened fire and flew the coop with jewellery and cash worth Rs 50 lakh.

The women received severe bullet wounds and were rushed to hospital.

The condition of the other woman continued to be critical, police said.
