Rs 4 cr released for PMGSY in Tripura

Agartala, Dec 28: The Ministry of Rural Development has sanctioned Rs 4 crore towards administrative, quality control and travel expenses to Tripura Rural Roads Development Agency (TRRDA) for the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).

State Rural Development Minister Jitendra Choudhury today informed that according to the guidelines, TRRDA, an autonomous agency for receiving the funds for the PMGSY, was set up in the state.

He also said the funds would be kept in a specified bank account and not be transferred to any other account of the agency without approval.

The funds should be utilised only for the items permissible for administrative expenses as per the PMGSY programme guidelines and various clarifications issued by the ministry, Mr Choudhury added.
