Pondy to be filariasis free zone in next 3 years

Puducherry, Dec 28 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy today said the health authorities had geared up to make Puducherry a filariasis free zone in the next three years.

Launching the anti-filariasis drive at Thattanchavady here, he said the administration would take steps to eradicate filariasis from the state.

Earlier, Health and Family Welfare Director Dilip Kumar Baliga briefed the Chief Minister about the steps taken by the department to cover a large number of people in the anti-filariasis drive.
