HP results not to impact Karnataka: Kharge

Belgaum, Dec 28 (UNI) Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mallikarjun Kharge today said the election results of Himachal Pradesh (HP) would not affect the prospects of the party in the coming Assembly elections in the state.

Talking to newspersons here, he said Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh were ruled by the BJP and their victory would not have any impact in Karnataka.

''The political situation in neighbouring states like Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh can affect the state politics but not North Indian politics,'' Mr Kharge added.
