Expo on products for disabled from Jan 4

Tiruchirapalli, Dec 28 (UNI) The National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities will organise a four-day exhibition, showcasing latest hearing-aid, calipers and artificial limbs, here from January four.

Institute Director Neeradha Chandramohan told newspersons yesterday that the exhibition "Samarthya" would showcase various products manufactured by about 100 companies.

The equipment would be supplied free of cost to the poor disabled persons.

She said this was for the first time a national exhibition was being held in Tamil Nadu. Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Meira Kumar would inaugurate the exhibition.
