Central Health employees to observe 'Black Day' tomorrow

New Delhi, Dec 27 (UNI) The Central health employees working under government hospitals, dispensaries, medical stores, offices and research institutes in 24 cities across the country will observe 'Black Day' tomorrow for implementation of their 15-point charter of demands.

The employees of 42 Health institutions spread over 17 states would tie black badges while working, a statement said here today.

Their demands included filling up of all vacant posts, stopping and removal of privatisation and contractualisation of the services in the health sector, proper implementation of ACP scheme and uniform and common recruitment rules for all cadres of health employees.

The workers had been agitating under the banner of Central Health Employees Federation for a long period and had earlier appealed to the Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss and Health Secretary Naresh Dayal for peaceful solution of their demands.
