Nickel, tin, lead

Mumbai, Dec 26 (UNI) Prices of nickel cathode, tin slab and brass cuttings in ferrous and non-ferrous metal segments today ruled better on brisk industrial users' demand, along with bullish advices from domestic centres like Kolkata and Delhi, traders at Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said.

In ferrous metal segment (per quintal), brass cuttings and aluminium utensils gained by Rs 100 per quintal each on increased industrial buying support by local dealers.

In non ferrous metal group (per quintal) aluminium ingots, zinc slab and lead ingots rose by Rs 200 each while tin slab and nickel cathode prices also advanced by Rs 100 and Rs 300 per kg respectively on sustained heavy buying support in the face of lesser ready stocks.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 33,400, copper utensils - Rs 313,00, brass utensils - Rs 246,00, brass cuttings - Rs 25,300 and aluminium utensils - Rs 10,400 per kg.

Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 36,500, aluminium ingots - Rs 12,000, zinc slab - Rs 12,700, lead ingots Rs 12,200, tin slab - Rs 795 and nickel cathode - Rs 1,385 per kg.
