INC Foundation Day to be celebrated on Dec 28 in AP

Hyderabad, Dec 26 (UNI) Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee President D Nagender today said all Congress party leaders, Chairmen and members of Intinta Indiramma wards of 12 municipalities of Greater Hyderabad would meet here on December 28 in connection with the celebration of the Indian National Congress (INC) Foundation Day.

He said the development schemes taken up by the Government would be discussed in the meeting. A strategy would be finalised for the forthcoming corporation elections in the city and steps taken for strengthening the organisation, he added.

He said the party workers would visit all the wards and create awareness among the people on the welfare schemes initiated by the Government and select the poor beneficiaries to provide houses, ration cards and pensions from IT.

Mr Nagender said the party would discuss various measures to strengthen itself in 120 divisions of the city to prepare for the elections, hoping that the party would win the elections as people had faith on it in view of its welfare schemes.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and AICC Secretary Iqbal Singh, were among others, to attend the meeting.
