38 passengers injured after ST bus overturns in Thane Dist
Thane, Dec 26 (UNI) At least 38 people, travelling in a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus, were injured, some of them seriously, when it overturned near Murbad in the district late last night, district rural police said today.
Police said the bus was on its way to Kalyan from Murbad, when the accident took place at an isolated location.
Among the injured were women and children. The injured were rushed to various hospitals in Kalyan, Murbad and other places, and some of them were given primary care and discharged the police said.
Police said a case has been registered with the Kalyan taluka police station and added that some of the critically injured have been shifted to J J Hospital and other hospitals in Mumbai.
