ULFA rebel linked to Tinsukia blasts surrenders

Guwahati, Dec 24 (UNI) A hardcore ULFA militant, allegedly involved in the serial blasts in Assam's Tinsukia district this year, surrendered before the army today.

Lakhi Gogoi alias Vickey (26) surrendered before Col. Uttam Raut of 268 Field Regiment at Rajgarh in Dibrugarh district.

Gogoi had joined teh outfit in 2006 and undergone training in Nagaland. He was involved in the blasts that had rocked Tinsukia district this year and his area of operation included both Tinsukia and Sivsagar districts.
