Guj victory is defeat of Mah Congress: Gadkari

Mumbai, Dec 23 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP president Nitin Gadkari today described BJP's victory in Gujarat as the defeat of the state Congress as its leaders including Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh had campaigned for the party.

Talking to UNI, Mr Gadkari said Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has proved to be a ''Jeet Ka Saudagar'' rather than Congress President Sonia Gandhi's description -- ''Maut Ka Saudagar''.

Mr Gadkari and Party National General Secretary Gopinath Munde said the Gujarat victory is the beginning of a BJP wave all over the country.
