Woman labourer killed, 3 feared trapped in quarry landslide

Kochi, Dec 22 (UNI) At least one woman labourer was killed and three others were feared trapped under the rubble in a landslide in a stone quarry at Kuzhoor at Muvatupuzha near here today.

Police said one of the two women labourers, who were rescued from the rubble, died on the way to hospital.

Three others were feared cought under the rubble. Rescue operations by the fire force personnel were on.

The accident occurred around 1420 hrs. The landslides, were suspected to have been triggered by the explosives used to split the rocks.
